The company president had been hearing rumors that his employees were discussing their salaries among each other. Hoping to nip this in the bud, he had notes printed with the following: "Your salary is your own business, not your coworker's. Keep it to yourself!"
The next payday, each worker received the president's note, along with his paycheck. One fellow returned his note to the company suggestion box with this reply on the back: "Don't worry on my account. I'm as ashamed of it as you are!"
